Punjabi experience

Yesterday, to exhibitions landed in Barcelona, 'La Metamorfòsi del Llibre 3.0' at La cripta del FAD and 'Raining Flowers', by Miquel Para at Jaleo Bar. If you find yourself nearby, or you're not full enough of 'Punjabi experiences' after visiting MACBA museum, go down the sinister FAD's crypt or have one of those delicious homemade croissants at Jaleo Bar.

Documents of Contemporary Art

There's a book collection published by the editorial alliance between London's Whitechapel gallery and MIT press, that catch my attention since the first time I discovered it. It are the effort of many voices from now and then, artists, writers, philosophers, art historians, designers... trying to explain basic themes related to visual culture.

I own the tittle 'Colour', edited by the artist David Bachelor, and you can find words from Adorno to Walter Benjamin, Donald Judd, Rodchenko, Signac... and many more, blended together very skilfully. Great lecture and very afforable.

You'll find it on amazon or you can take a look to all the covers and extra info at the offcial site.

"In 2006 London's famous Whitechapel Gallery and MIT Press formed an editorial alliance to produce a new series of books. Documents of Contemporary Art combines several features that do not often coincide in publishing: affordable paperback prices, good design, and impeccable editorial content. Each volume in the series is a definitive anthology on a particular theme, practice, or concern that is of central significance to contemporary visual culture. The artists and writers included in these books, like the guest editors who conceive them, represent the diversity of perspectives, generations, and voices defining art today."
